In 2017 Cody and his partner Chelsey co-founded Mighty Painters, driven by their shared passion and a vision for transforming the painting industry. With more than 20 years of hands-on painting experience, their mission is clear: to deliver exceptional customer experiences, beautifully finished projects, and a work environment where employees feel valued and well-compensated. Mighty Painters strives to provide not only a great paint job, but a fantastic experience with our crew.

After more than 20 years in the painting industry,

we decided it was time to start crafting our own vision. We chose the name Mighty Painters because we wanted to become super-heroes at crafting an excellent experience for our customers.

Starting with just the two of us, the demand quickly became overwhelming, and we realized the need to expand to better serve our community. As we began adding our first crew members, we realized that the company had a new, and equally important and fulfilling aspect to our vision: our employees.

With more than 10 years of hands-on painting experience, Cody’s mission is clear: to deliver exceptional customer experiences, beautifully finished projects, and a work environment where employees feel valued and well-compensated.
Beyond his work with Mighty Painters, Cody has a passion for performance, often showcasing his musical talents at open mic nights. He’s also an avid reader, especially enjoying books on business strategy and development. His drive to create value extends beyond painting—Cody envisions a future where he serves as many people as possible through Mighty Painters and other ventures.
With a focus on innovation and a deep commitment to his team and clients, Cody is dedicated to ensuring Mighty Painters remains a leader in the industry for years to come.
Owner
With over 20 years of painting experience, Chelsey Sehn brings a wealth of expertise to Mighty Painters. Not only is she highly skilled in the craft, but her background in selling and mixing paints adds an invaluable layer of product knowledge to the team. Chelsey’s attention to detail and deep understanding of materials make her a key asset to every project.
Outside of her painting career, Chelsey’s greatest passion lies in health and wellness. She enjoys preparing delicious, nutritious meals for her loved ones and is always eager to share advice with anyone looking to enhance their well-being. Her commitment to both her craft and personal growth shines through in everything she does.
In the near future, Chelsey plans to add health food store ownership to her impressive list of accomplishments, combining her love for nutritious living with her entrepreneurial spirit.
Crew Lead
Jared Larmand serves as our Project Manager at Mighty Painters, combining expertise with a friendly approach to every project. One of his most memorable experiences was working on The Osprey Nest, an iconic project that truly showcased his skills and commitment.
Jared finds great satisfaction in applying the final coat of paint, watching as a space transforms into something beautiful. Outside of work, he enjoys playing board games with family and friends, bringing a sense of fun to his downtime.
As for the future, Jared is open to where his journey may lead—whether that’s continuing to create stunning paint jobs with Mighty Painters, exploring a new trade, or going back to school. With his professional yet approachable demeanor, Jared is dedicated to ensuring a positive experience for every client.
Painter
Cory Miller is a dedicated painter at Mighty Painters, known for his strong work ethic and passion for transforming spaces. One of his most memorable projects was the intense four-day stint at the Nemiah Valley power generator room, where he and the team camped out and put in long hours to get the job done.
What Cory enjoys most about painting is the satisfaction of a job well done and the joy he sees in customers as they witness their newly transformed spaces. Outside of work, he loves spending time outdoors, finding peace and inspiration in nature.
In ten years, Cory envisions himself living in the woods, embracing the tranquility that comes with a life surrounded by nature. With his commitment to quality and a calm demeanor, Cory is focused on delivering exceptional results on every project.
Painter
Kate Lesley has been a valued member of the Mighty Painters team for three years, bringing her creativity and attention to detail to every project. One of her most memorable experiences was painting black ceilings in a beautiful custom home. Initially skeptical about the outcome, she was thrilled with the stunning results that exceeded her expectations.
Outside of painting, Kate enjoys a variety of hobbies, including going to the gym, reading, photography, and dancing. She finds painting to be a peaceful and satisfying endeavor, allowing her to express her artistic side.
As for the future, Kate is open to possibilities and plans to go with the flow for now. With her calm approach and dedication to quality, she consistently delivers impressive results that leave a lasting impact.
Painter
Jakob Larmand is in his third year with Mighty Painters, specializing in exterior jobs that breathe new life into dull, worn-out spaces. He takes great satisfaction in transforming exteriors and restoring their beauty, making a noticeable difference in every project he tackles.
Outside of work, Jakob is an avid amateur landscaper and enjoys diving into board games and expanding his collection of unique items. His passion for detail extends beyond painting, showcasing his creativity in various ways.
Looking ahead, Jakob hopes to continue painting while adding new skills and trades to his repertoire. With his commitment to quality and a keen eye for transformation, Jakob consistently delivers impressive results that enhance the homes he works on.
Painter
Nadia recently joined the Mighty Painters team, bringing her skills and fresh perspective from another painting company on Vancouver Island. We’re thrilled to have her on board! Like her colleague Kate, Nadia’s favorite project so far has been the stunning black ceilings she painted in one of our custom new build homes.
Outside of work, Nadia enjoys a range of hobbies, including painting and drawing, baking, paddle boarding, and hiking. She finds painting to be a rewarding experience, taking great satisfaction in transforming old spaces into something new and beautiful.
